- Global Finance magazine awards BCP with the "Best Bank in Portugal" prize;
- Announcement of the launch of an issue of Asset Backed Securities to the amount of 320 million Euros, in an operation carried out through a Special Financing Vehicle with its head office in the Republic of Ireland, called New Finance Nº 3, Plc (New nº 3).
- Issue of securities for obligatory conversion into ordinary shares of the BCP, called Capital BCP 2005, to the amount of 700 million Euros, constituting the first offer of this type made in Portugal.
